\n\tZendaya<\/a> has just dropped a big tease about the future of Euphoria<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhile appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/a> on Monday (below) just days ahead of Euphoria returning after a long hiatus, Zendaya indicated that the forthcoming third season will be the last for the hit HBO<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think so, yeah,\u201d Zendaya said matter-of-factly when asked by host Drew Barrymore if season three is the end. When Barrymore asked again, Zendaya repeated, \u201cYes, I think so.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEuphoria cracked my heart open,\u201d she continued. \u201cRue [her character] taught me so much about life \u2026 that crew has also seen me grow up. I owe so much to that show. Rue taught me so much about empathy and about redemption. She taught me a lot, and I\u2019m very grateful for all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHBO has not commented about if season three is the final run.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe eight episode third season of Euphoria starts this Sunday (at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max) after a four-year break. The creative result of the delay <\/a>was creator-writer Sam Levinson<\/a> deciding to jump the ensemble \u2014 which is led by Rue\u2019s Zendaya \u2014 out of high school. The new season opens<\/a> with the cast five years older, now young adults working in different aspiring fields \u2014 or in Rue\u2019s case, running from drug lords in Mexico.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanted to create a mosaic of these outsider characters and people who were on the fringes, who were dealing with addiction and insecurities,\u201d Levinson recently<\/a> told The Hollywood Reporter about the series. \u201cThese were characters that I felt were rich and I could really mine, and that\u2019s how I built it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe main cast also includes Sydney Sweeney<\/a>, Jacob Elordi<\/a>, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer<\/a> and Alexa Demie.<\/p>\n

\n\tNew castmembers this season<\/a>\u00a0include\u00a0Sharon Stone, Danielle Deadwyler,\u00a0Eli Roth,\u00a0Natasha Lyonne, Rosal\u00eda, Marshawn Lynch, Sam Trammell and Asante Blackk.\u00a0Eric Dane \u2014 who recently died<\/a> after a battle with ALS \u2014 Chloe Cherry, Dominic Fike, Nika King and\u00a0Colman Domingo\u00a0also return; Angus Cloud<\/a>, who played fan-favorite drug dealer Fezco,\u00a0died in July 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Zendaya has just dropped a big tease about the future of Euphoria.
