The search of a premises by garda\u00ed from Ronanstown Drugs Unit in Lucan on Sunday led to the discovery of a kilo of ketamine with an estimated value of \u20ac60,000.<\/p>\n

Further searches were conducted this morning, Monday, during which 13kg of suspected ketamine was recovered with an estimated value of \u20ac770,000.<\/p>\n

The drugs seized will be analysed by Forensic Science Ireland.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed confirmed the findings in a statement.<\/p>\n

“As part of ongoing investigations under Operation Tara, Garda\u00ed have seized approximately \u20ac830,000 of controlled drugs,\u201d a spokesperson for the force said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGarda\u00ed from the Ronanstown Drugs Unit conducted a search of a premises in Lucan, Co. Dublin on Sunday 5th April 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels \u2013 international, national, local \u2013 involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.<\/p>\n

The statement continued: “During this search, one kilo of suspected ketamine with an approximate value of \u20ac60,000 was recovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cA man aged in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda Station in Co. Dublin.<\/p>\n

\u201cA number of follow-up searches were conducted this morning, Monday 6th April 2026, which resulted in the further recovery of 13 kilos of suspected ketamine, with an approximate value of \u20ac770,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.<\/p>\n
