Garda\u00ed conducted both statutory Mandatory Intoxicant Testing and regular, high-visibility policing checkpoints.<\/p>\n
The operation, which started last Thursday at 7am, concluded this morning. During this time, there were three fatalaties on Irish roads.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, at least 175 individuals were found to have been driving while intoxicated and more than 4,000 drivers were detected for speeding offences during the same time period.<\/p>\n
The force shared its most shocking speeding violations from around the country, including one driver being clocked at 138kmh in a 50kmh zone on Cashel Road in Cahir in Tipperary on Sunday.<\/p>\n
In Co Dublin, a motorist was driving 102kmh in a 60kmh zone on the Stillorgan Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin.<\/p>\n
Another road user on the N11 in Newcastle, Co Wicklow was travelling 147kmh in a 100kmh zone.<\/p>\n
A driver in Dublin 22 was travelling 136kmh in a 100kmh zone on the N7 in Brownsbarn on Monday.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, garda\u00ed caught a driver travelling 102kmh in a 60kmh zone on the Stillorgan Road in Blackrock in Co Dublin.<\/p>\n
Over 310 people have been detected holding a mobile phone or not wearing a seatbelt during the first four days.<\/p>\n
A total of 138 people were arrested for driving under the influence of an intoxicant, such as alcohol and drugs during the same timeframe.<\/p>\n
A woman, aged in her 40s, died on Sunday after she was struck by a lorry in a crash on Friday in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.<\/p>\n
In a separate crash in Dublin, a pedestrian, woman aged in her 40s, was seriously injured after she was struck by a bus in Terenure, Dublin, on Monday morning.<\/p>\n
It comes as garda\u00ed and the Road Safety Authority (RSA) have urged all road users to support their efforts to keep them safe this Easter weekend.<\/p>\n
Every member of An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na on-duty will be out conducting road traffic enforcement activity this long weekend.<\/p>\n
Motorists are reminded to always drive within the speed limit, not to get behind the wheel under the influence and take extra caution around vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists.<\/p>\n
In a statement, An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na reminded road users to exercise utmost caution when driving.<\/p>\n
“An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na continues to appeal to all road users to never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to slow down and to always choose a speed that is appropriate to the driving conditions, to wear your seatbelt and keep your eyes always on the road,\u201d a spokesperson said,<\/p>\n
