The Riverfestival Village at Arthur\u2019s Quay Park remains the heart of the action, featuring artisan food stalls, vintage amusements, and live music throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 line-up sees the return of fan favourites alongside new additions. FashionFest kicks off the weekend at Gardens International with a runway show curated by the Holman Lee Agency, featuring a unique collaboration between LSAD and designers from Austin, Texas. On the water, the Shannon will play host to kayaking, dragon boat racing, and swimming events.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/69d50cec20802.jpg\" style=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Limerick City and County Council have provided a map detailing where the festivities will be- see more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerick.ie\/sites\/default\/files\/media\/documents\/2026-04\/riverfest-limerick-2026-map.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, May 3rd, is expected to be the busiest day of the festival. Tens of thousands of participants will take to the streets for the Regeneron Great Limerick Run, Ireland&#8217;s largest mass participation sporting event outside of Dublin. The night will conclude with a massive fireworks display over the river.<\/p>\n<p>Music lovers are also well catered for, with The Human League performing at King John\u2019s Castle on Saturday, followed by a 15th-anniversary hometown show by Hermitage Green on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Limerick City will host the &#8216;Riverfest Music Trail&#8217; on the 1st May for the first time. A concept born in Newcastle West, the walking music experience will bring tunes through the city, bringing live performances to multiple venues and public spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Limerick will also become home to the &#8216;Red Bull Dance Your Style Qualifier at the Milk Market&#8217; on the 3rd of May.\u00a0The Milk Market will host high-energy street dance battles where talented dancers will go head-to-head, and the audience decides who moves on to the national finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are advised that a series of road closures and diversions will be in place across the city centre and quays to facilitate the events and the Great Limerick Run.
