Here are the details.<\/p>\n<p>CarPlay momentum continues<\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/03\/30\/whatsapp-is-working-on-a-dedicated-carplay-app-available-now-for-beta-testers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WABetaInfo noticed<\/a> that WhatsApp had started to test an improved CarPlay experience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"924\" height=\"554\" data-id=\"1045871\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/whatsapp-carplay-chats.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1045871\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"924\" height=\"554\" data-id=\"1045873\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/whatsapp-carplay-contact-info.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1045873\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"924\" height=\"554\" data-id=\"1045872\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/whatsapp-carplay-favorites.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1045872\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"924\" height=\"554\" data-id=\"1045870\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/whatsapp-carplay-calls.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1045870\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>For years, WhatsApp\u2019s CarPlay integration was limited to a basic voice interface that let users compose messages or place calls.<\/p>\n<p>With the update, which was promoted as an App Store event, WhatsApp\u2019s CarPlay experience now feels much more native to Apple\u2019s in-car platform, including:<\/p>\n<p>A new contact info interface that lets users view profile details for each contact;<\/p>\n<p>A call history interface showing recent calls, including whether they were incoming, outgoing, or missed;<\/p>\n<p>Support for favorite contacts through a dedicated tab.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s update builds on a wave of recent CarPlay improvements, with <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/04\/03\/carplay-got-two-brand-new-apps-this-week-that-are-big-iphone-hits\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ChatGPT and Google Meet<\/a> also adding more native experiences.<\/p>\n<p>ChatGPT recently updated its app to leverage the new support for conversational voice apps that Apple released with CarPlay in iOS 26.4.
