\n\tParamount+<\/a> is adding a heist thriller series to its upcoming British slate and has ordered \u201cThe Day\u201d (working title), to be led by Minnie Driver<\/a> (\u201cGood Will Hunting,\u201d \u201cEmily in Paris\u201d), Luca Pasqualino (\u201cRivals,\u201d \u201cThe Musketeers\u201d) and Louisa Harland (\u201cRenegade Nell,\u201d \u201cDerry Girls\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-produced By Dynamic Television and Clapperboard Studios and described as a \u201cpropulsive edge-of-your-seat thriller,\u201d the eight-part series is based on the Belgian show \u201cDe Dag.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the name suggests, \u201cThe Day\u201d is set across a single day, following a terrifying bank siege that starts when police stumble across a bank robbery mid-heist, prompting the criminals to barricade themselves inside. The story opens from the police perspective, led by hostage negotiator Sylvia \u201cVox\u201d Voxley (Driver), as she battles time and rising pressure to save the hostages. But as the crisis hurtles towards breaking point, the story rewinds, with viewers pulled inside the bank to relive the same events through the eyes of the robbers and their hostages.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs per the description, \u201cWith each episode flipping perspective between the police operation and the robbers barricaded inside, \u2018The Day\u2019 constantly resets the narrative. Every shift in perspective reframes the truth and deepens the mystery \u2014\u00a0building to an explosive finale where the full picture finally snaps into place.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCurrently in production, \u201cThe Day\u201d will premiere on Paramount+ in the U..K and Ireland, with Dynamic Television handling global distribution outside these territories.<\/p>\n
