You can pull in things like files, past conversations, and custom instructions into notebooks that Gemini can then use as context while you\u2019re talking with it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Notebooks sound a lot like ChatGPT\u2019s Projects feature, which launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/12\/13\/24320800\/openai-chatgpt-projects-folders-ai-chats\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in 2024<\/a> and similarly <a href=\"https:\/\/help.openai.com\/en\/articles\/10169521-projects-in-chatgpt\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lets users<\/a> store things about a certain topic in one spot. Google says to \u201cthink of notebooks as personal knowledge bases shared across Google products, starting in Gemini.\u201d Gemini\u2019s Notebooks also sync with Google\u2019s NotebookLM AI research tool, meaning sources you add while using one of the apps will show up in both.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Gemini\u2019s notebooks are rolling out this week on the web for subscribers of Google\u2019s AI Ultra, Pro, and Plus plans, according to Google.
