\n\tOlivia Munn<\/a> is getting candid about her experience working with a difficult male co-star on a past project.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/a>, the actress recalled an unnamed actor refusing to film a scene in which her female character saved his.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere have been a few times where I\u2019ve been filming something \u2014 and my character was either like CIA, or a cop, or something\u00a0\u2014\u00a0and there\u2019s been scenes where my character has been the one to save the other character,\u201d Munn explained.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn this specific instance, the Your Friends & Neighbors star said they were filming a gunfight scene in an underground bunker.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you read the script, it was that he was guarding his side, I was guarding my side, then we switch sides and then there\u2019s a guy that was coming for him \u2014 was gonna shoot him in the back \u2014 so I shoot him,\u201d Munn recounted. \u201cAnd then we\u2019re about to shoot and, somehow, I guess he didn\u2019t read the script and in that moment, he realized, \u2018Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. She can\u2019t save me. No, no. She can\u2019t save me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThat\u2019s when her co-star paused production and even got \u201ccombative with the director\u201d over the scene. When reflecting on the incident and his behavior, she added, \u201cThere was no insecurity about being obnoxious and everyone hearing this and being like, \u2018She can\u2019t save me! We\u2019re not doing this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter nearly an hour of back and forth, the X-Men: Apocalypse actress decided to interject with an idea.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFinally, after like 45 minutes of just stopping down, I said, \u2018OK, how about instead of my character saving you, it\u2019s just that we switch because it\u2019s time for us to switch and so this is my guy to get,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cAnd he was like, \u2018OK.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Munn admitted to host Drew Barrymore<\/a>\u2018s audience, drawing laughter and cheers from them, \u201cNow here\u2019s the interesting thing: nothing changed. It\u2019s just what he thought. I was doing the exact same thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actress has previously opened up about other negative experiences she\u2019s had with men in Hollywood. Last year, Munn recalled a visiting\u00a0Newsroom\u00a0director giving her bad notes, which she didn\u2019t take, and she later found out that he bad-mouthed her to keep her from getting another job<\/a>. She still booked the role.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Munn opened up about what she\u2019s learned from that experience and trying to stand up for herself in the industry.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s playing the game a bit more,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I should be able to speak up for myself and I should be able to draw the line, but we cannot. I can\u2019t change the world and I cannot change how women have been portrayed and received for however long we\u2019ve been on earth. So I\u2019ve realized that I\u2019m going to handle this situation in a way that is going to be the best outcome for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMunn added, \u201cI used to see so many other actors do it, and I\u2019d think, \u2018Why are you not taking the note?
