Manchester United assistant coach Steve Holland wants to take advantage of the team\u2019s four-day training camp in Ireland ahead of the Premier League run-in.<\/p>\n

It has been a busy week for Manchester United<\/a>, after travelling to Ireland for a training camp that should help the players prepare for the final seven games of the season.<\/p>\n

United are currently sitting third in the standings, and they\u2019ve recently learned that there will be at least five Champions League spots<\/a> in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A positive training camp in Ireland could be exactly what United need after a long break since their 2-2 draw against Bournemouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s mid-season training camp in Co. Kildare has attracted visits from hundreds of fans throughout the week.<\/p>\n

The trip to the plush Carton House has been a success so far, with Bryan Mbeumo impressed by the warm welcome<\/a> given by the fans who showed up.<\/p>\n

Michael Carrick<\/a> hopes that the training camp helps the team continue the momentum built over the past three months.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s assistant coach Steve Holland<\/a> is the latest to provide an update from Carton House, stressing that the venue is \u2018perfect\u2019 for the team news in such an important week.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally good,\u201d Holland told ManUtd.com<\/a> when asked how the first training session went.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nice to be together again, having had a couple of weeks with all the players away and representing their various different countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got an important run-in to go, so it\u2019s important to get the group together again and really focus on that. Today has been as you\u2019d expect, a normal first day and they\u2019re quite excited to be back in each other\u2019s company and the training session has gone well.\u201d<\/p>\n

In terms of facilities at Carton House, Holland is impressed, adding: \u201cIt\u2019s excellent, the hotel facilities, and to have the pitch close and the gymnasium\u2026 we\u2019re here to work, so it\u2019s absolutely perfect for what we need.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is no denying that United\u2019s main objective<\/a> is to secure Champions League<\/a> qualification.<\/p>\n

However, Holland wants United to aim higher than that.<\/p>\n

Holland has told the players that they should be doing more than fighting to qualify for the Champions League.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the language we should be using as this club is to finish as close as we possibly can to the top,\u201d Holland said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how possible that is, but that has to be the challenge always: to get as close as we possibly can to the top. We\u2019ve been speaking more to the players really about winning our matches, rather than thinking too much about what\u2019s happening below. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut yeah, clearly given the context, to finish in the Champions League places would be a good situation for us, but I think always we should be looking for more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n

United are currently six points adrift of Man City in second place.<\/p>\n
