The platform has rolled out a new update that integrates its calling and chat features with Apple CarPlay, expanding how users access the app beyond smartphones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">The update, available with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.storyboard18.com\/brand-marketing\/you-can-now-log-into-bgmi-using-whatsapp-heres-how-94369.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WhatsApp<\/a> for iOS version 26.13.74, has begun rolling out in India and other global markets. The feature, which was earlier spotted in beta versions, is now being made widely available through the App Store.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">What\u2019s new<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">With this update, users can make and receive WhatsApp calls directly from their car\u2019s dashboard. The interface introduces dedicated sections for chats, call history, and favourite contacts, allowing users to quickly access recent activity without reaching for their phones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">The chat list shows recent conversations, including unread messages. However, individual chats cannot be opened while driving, a restriction designed to limit distractions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">The call history tab displays incoming, outgoing, and missed calls along with timestamps and contact names. Users can tap on a contact to return a call directly from the dashboard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">A separate favourites tab allows quick access to frequently contacted people, reducing the need to scroll through the entire contact list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">Reduced reliance on Siri<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">Earlier, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.storyboard18.com\/digital\/whatsapp-tests-real-time-noise-reduction-for-voice-video-calls-on-android-94383.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WhatsApp<\/a> usage on CarPlay depended heavily on Siri for reading and sending messages, which sometimes led to errors in interpretation. With the new native interface, many of these functions are now built into the app itself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">For replying to messages, users can use voice dictation, enabling hands-free communication while driving.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">Availability and compatibility<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">The feature is being rolled out through the latest iOS update of WhatsApp and does not require a separate app download. Once an iPhone is connected to a CarPlay-supported vehicle, the WhatsApp interface appears automatically on the infotainment screen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">Access may vary depending on device compatibility and region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">Other recent updates<\/p>\n<p class=\"new_font\">This is the second recent update for WhatsApp on iOS.
