Last One Laughing<\/a> UK star Amy Gledhill has detailed one of the moments that was left on the cutting room floor \u2013 because it was too \u201cfilthy\u201d for television. <\/p>\n

The hit Prime series returned for a second outing last month, with 10 comedians \u2013 including last year\u2019s champion, Bob Mortimer \u2013 entering the studio and attempting to make it through the day without laughing. <\/p>\n

Gledhill was one of the newer faces among them, and in an appearance on co-star Alan Carr\u2019s Life\u2019s A Beach podcast, she admitted that a scene which she considered to be one of her funniest moments didn\u2019t make the final edit.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old explained: \u201cThe thing that I did that I thought might have been funny hasn\u2019t made it into the show because it was too mucky. Me and Sam [Campbell] did an improv in the bed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just wrong,\u201d Alan interjected. \u201cYou were\u2026 it was filth.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI was trying to get it away from filth and then Sam, who I didn\u2019t expect to take it into filthy areas\u2026 It got to a point where I really thought, for this improv to end, I\u2019m going to have to spit into Sam Campbell\u2019s mouth.\u201d <\/p>\n

Thankfully, it didn\u2019t quite come to that \u2013 as host Jimmy Carr<\/a> stepped in. <\/p>\n

\u201cI remember there being a moment where me and Sam were looking at each other and I think Sam was like, \u2018do it\u2019. And then I heard Jimmy Carr. It was too much for Jimmy Carr. I heard him behind the wall going, \u2018cut!\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

Carr and Gledhill also admitted fearing the show was a \u201cturkey\u201d, with Gledhill adding: \u201cWhen you\u2019re in it and you think nobody has laughed for six hours, you think, \u2018this is the worst programme ever made.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

Thankfully, the second series was a huge hit with critics, many of whom gave it five stars, with The Independent\u2019s deputy culture editor Ellie Harrison hailing it \u201cthe funniest show on TV\u201d<\/a>. <\/p>\n

For the most part, this year\u2019s competitors managed to avoid laughing for longer than series one\u2019s comedians, with the first red cards coming in during episode four (last time, three stars failed to make it past episode two). <\/p>\n

Many of the gang survived thanks to Mortimer\u2019s advice \u2013 which was to figure out a go-to \u201csafety face\u201d in order to stop the giggles. <\/p>\n

Mel Giedroyc was perhaps a little too committed to this though, as she ended up needing medical advice after damaging her jaw with her unusual facial expression. <\/p>\n

She explained at the series\u2019 launch: \u201cI’ve done something to the right jowl because I was so into that move. <\/p>\n

\u201cTim Cascarini [a leading specialist] is gonna sort it out.
