Kyle Sandilands apparently had \u201cno idea\u201d that Jackie O Henderson was feeling bullied as she now claims in court, and instead thought the pair were just making good radio together.<\/p>\n

A source has told news.com.au that Kyle will claim he was not made aware by ARN that Jackie was struggling to work with him before their on-air fight on February 20.<\/p>\n

Jackie went on leave after that argument, and her lawyers sent a complaint letter stating that she had previously notified the broadcast of Kyle\u2019s alleged conduct.<\/p>\n

The letter, referred to in Jackie\u2019s statement of claim, also claimed the network had not implemented \u201cany control measures\u201d to minimise the risk to Jackie.<\/p>\n

Jackie was terminated shortly afterwards, with ARN claiming she said she couldn\u2019t \u201ccontinue\u201d to work with Kyle.<\/p>\n

Kyle was suspended at the same time, and later terminated for what ARN described to the ASX as \u201cserious misconduct\u201d. The Kyle and Jackie O Show was scrapped.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint letter Jackie\u2019s legal team sent to the network after February 20, on \u201cprevious occasions\u201d she had notified the network of Kyle\u2019s alleged \u201cbullying\u201d.<\/p>\n

Both stars have now launched separate legal proceedings against ARN. Kyle wants to get back on air and see out his 10-year, $100 million contract.<\/p>\n

Jackie is claiming that ARN failed to provide her with a safe workplace and that it terminated her unfairly, and is seeking \u201cat least\u201d $82 million in compensation.<\/p>\n

In Jackie\u2019s statement of claim tendered to the Federal Court, she claimed she complained several times about Kyle\u2019s behaviour towards her to ARN.<\/p>\n

The source told news.com.au Kyle will claim that those complaints weren\u2019t passed along, even after a particular incident on August 20, 2025.<\/p>\n

Jackie\u2019s legal team argued in the statement of claim that besides the now-infamous February 20 fight, another key incident occurred last August.<\/p>\n

In another on-air argument, this time about dating, Jackie\u2019s lawyers alleged that Kyle behaved inappropriately and was being \u201coffensive and degrading\u201d towards Jackie.<\/p>\n

In the segment that is still available to be listened to, Kyle dismissed Jackie\u2019s dating beliefs as \u201cpsychobabble\u201d and then claimed she\u2019d never find anyone, reducing Jackie to tears.<\/p>\n

News.com.au understands that Kyle will claim he did not receive any official feedback about that incident and only learned of the extent of her complaints from the statement of claim.<\/p>\n

A source claimed said there was no \u201cpassing along\u201d of concerns by ARN, and that they\u2019re unsure why.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think maybe they were afraid or didn\u2019t want to intervene \u2026 who knows, I don\u2019t think it was part of some conspiracy,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

Although it is more than clear that Jackie was annoyed on air, the source told news.com.au that Kyle had \u201cno idea\u201d she was upset enough after August 20, 2025 to make an official complaint.<\/p>\n

\u201cDating was on the table at certain times, and he had no idea (she was still upset) because she did not mention anything directly to Kyle,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

The source argued that Kyle\u2019s callous comments on air about Jackie\u2019s dating life are just an example of him publicly playing a \u201crobust character\u201d, which is an expectation of his contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cKyle being like, \u2018I dunno if you\u2019re going to find anyone\u2019, that is part of the parameters of the segment,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

In general, the source argued there was nothing shocking against Kyle in the statement of claim.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s nothing there that is like, \u2018oh wow, that is crazy\u2019,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

In Kyle\u2019s separate statement of claim, his lawyers argued that the \u201cbanter and tension\u201d between Jackie and Kyle are a \u201ccentral dynamic\u201d to the show.<\/p>\n

They argued that Kyle \u201cperformed the role of the dominant and abrasive personality who was deliberately outrageous and often offensive\u201d, while Jackie played a \u201cwarmer and more emotionally attuned\u201d character. \u200b<\/p>\n

\u2018I am worried\u2019: The on-air clash in August laid bare <\/p>\n

The on-air clash last August referenced in the statement of claim lasted seven minutes, and Jackie was reduced to tears at one point. She then left the show and later returned.<\/p>\n

During a conversation about dating, Jackie argued that sometimes, you can mistake \u201cbutterflies\u201d for anxiety and you need to listen to your body when dating.<\/p>\n

Kyle then said he was \u201cworried\u201d Jackie would never find anyone because of all her requirements, and argued that anxiety can just be horny excitement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am worried about you, on another note, that you\u2019ll (never) find anyone because of all these requirements,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Jackie then accused Kyle of not listening and of attacking her, but Kyle snapped back, saying he wasn\u2019t attacking her.<\/p>\n

Kyle asked, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you get rid of all this rubbish you\u2019ve learned and go out and date?\u201d<\/p>\n

He then claimed that Jackie always gets \u201cangry\u201d with him when he is just trying to understand what she is saying.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoesn\u2019t she get angry with me when I don\u2019t know all the lingo. She gets so agitated,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Jackie explained, \u201cI get annoyed when you say I\u2019ll never find anyone because I go on with all this garbage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle argued that Jackie gets \u201cangry\u201d when he tries to challenge her. Jackie responded that she just gets \u201cfrustrated\u201d when he goes on \u201cthe attack\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kyle told Jackie, \u201cOut of everyone that you have met in your entire life, I\u2019m the last person that is going to throw you under the bus or attack you or not want the best for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle added, \u201cI am treated the worst, not that I care; we\u2019ve actually got a good relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackie argued back that she does not think she treats him \u201cpoorly\u201d, but Kyle continued on.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we weren\u2019t working together, I\u2019d be red-flagged out of your life. Yet I\u2019ve been the most loyal to you ever,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
