Ms Faulkner, aged in her 20s, has been on life-support at Cork University Hospital after she was attacked on the side of the R494 road, outside the village of Birdhill, Co Tipperary, on March 21st last.<\/p>\n

However, in an updated social media post, Josephine (Joanne) Duffy, the partner of Scarlett\u2019s brother Thomas Faulkner, said: \u201cThings are not looking good. On Friday they\u2019re disconnecting Scarlett (from) her life\/support machine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Faulkner had been in an induced coma at CUH to help swelling in her brain reduce.<\/p>\n
Asking for help in organising a funeral, Ms Duffy said: \u201cThe family have never buried anyone ever before. I don\u2019t know what I\u2019m asking for, like who do you go to for those big love-hearts and the red carpets, who does those?<\/p>\n
\u201cWho do you go to for a casket, they want a lilac casket, do you know who they contact for a casket; a coach and horses?”<\/p>\n
\u201cSo if anyone knows them places and who you go to, and, we need it for, I suppose Sunday\/Monday, and (we) know it\u2019s kind of short notice,\u201d said Ms Duffy.<\/p>\n
\u201cNone of the family know, they\u2019ve never buried anyone. So this will obviously be their first burial,\u201d she added. Ms Duffy also thanked the public for their prayers and support for Scarlett over the past three weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThanks so much for all the prayers that didn\u2019t go unnoticed, and pray now for peace for Scarlett, and justice, of course, thank ye all so much,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

A post on Joanne and Thomas Faulkner\u2019s Facebook account stated: \u201cI\u2019m lost for words my heart is broken my beautiful baby sister.\u201d People replied online expressing their condolences and support to the Faulkner family. One woman said: \u201cI\u2019m so sorry to hear this Joanne. I live across from the hospital and have been praying every time I passed by this past few weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is heartbreaking to hear. God give you all comfort. This is a story that Ireland will never forget. So so sad and cruel. What a fight beautiful Scarlett put up, rest in peace beautiful angel XXX.”<\/p>\n
Others stated\u201d \u201cThinking off ye, may she get the best bed in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another replied: \u201cSad world my heart goes out to you all at this hard time.\u201d<\/p>\n
And, another stated: \u201cSo unfair, I\u2019m so so sorry poor scarlett and her little girl left without her mommy. It\u2019s awful cruel. Rip scarlett.\u201d<\/p>\n
A 16-year old girl is before the courts charged with assault causing serious harm to Ms Faulkner on March 21.<\/p>\n
A 40-year old woman is charged with endangerment, violent disorder as well as burglary, arising out of the Garda investigation into the alleged assault on Ms Faulkner.<\/p>\n
The girl and the woman cannot be identified by order of District Court judge Carol Anne Coolican.<\/p>\n
