According to a new report, Google\u2019s upcoming Pixel 11 series will be among the first \u2013 perhaps even the first \u2013 to get Samsung\u2019s new flagship M16 OLED display panels, beating out iPhones to the switch, and Samsung\u2019s Galaxy series too.<\/p>\n

Samsung Display\u2019s upcoming M16 OLED panels, ETNews reports<\/a>, will first launch on the Google Pixel 11 series, the iPhone 18 Pro models, as well as the foldable iPhone. The report doesn\u2019t mention release dates but, looking at the typical pattern, Google\u2019s release would come in August, at least a month prior to Apple\u2019s.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s new with the M16 panel is unclear, but Samsung\u2019s displays typically continue to get better with each new generation.<\/p>\n

The Galaxy S26 series still uses an M14 panel, so Samsung is unlikely to switch to M16 panels until next year\u2019s Galaxy S27 series. <\/p>\n

Google has been using Samsung\u2019s panels for the past few years, with an increased focus on display quality following the Pixel 8 series\u2019 launch and the debut of \u201cActua\u201d displays<\/a>, though BOE panels remain in the mix even down to the Pixel 10 series. <\/p>\n
