Lawo has unveiled Edge One, a combined video and audio stagebox for broadcast and Pro AV workflows. The device will be on display at NAB Show (Booth C2108, April 19\u201322, Las Vegas).<\/p>\n
Edge One features 8x bi-directional HD-BNC connectors for SDI signals, 4x HDMI outputs (two of which can alternatively be used as inputs), SFP ports for MADI I\/O, GPI I\/Os, USB-C audio interface, and Sync, Reference, and Wordclock connectors. Three swappable audio interface modules cover mic\/line inputs only, mic\/line inputs and line outputs, or commentary applications.<\/p>\n
The device is SMPTE ST 2110 native with up to 25Gbps bandwidth and includes both RJ45 ports with PoE++ and SFP ports. It can be rack-mounted (1U) or bracket-mounted, and includes rubber bumpers for portable use.<\/p>\n
Edge One supports Lawo FLEX software licensing, allowing users to activate specific functions as needed. It is available in three packages: Audio, Video, and Audio + Video. Optional licensable functions include video signal instances, video frame syncs, JPEG XS encoding\/decoding, the Edge One Commentary App, MADI I\/O with built-in SRC, and mc\u00b2-grade audio DSP for local mixing.<\/p>\n
