The fight has begun as a new trailer for\u00a0Mortal Kombat II\u00a0has been released with the announcement that tickets are now on sale in theaters.<\/p>\n

The new trailer focuses on the Mortal Kombat tournament, showcasing many realms and set pieces for the combatants as Karl Urban joins the franchise as Johnny Cage, a washed up Hollywood action hero and stuntman who is chosen to participate in Mortal Kombat to save the world. Among the scenery is many fighting moves game players will recognize alongside new characters joining the fight on both sides, all set to the franchise\u2019s iconic theme song. From New Line Cinema comes the latest high-stakes installment in the blockbuster video game franchise in all its brutal glory, Mortal Kombat II. This time, the fan favorite champions\u2014now joined by Johnny Cage himself\u2014are pitted against one another in the ultimate, no-holds barred, gory battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.<\/p>\n

Mortal Kombat II features Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi\/Scorpion, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.<\/p>\n
