We got Inazuma Eleven<\/a> and Fantasy Life<\/a> last year, and now legendary dev Level-5 has announced that Professor Layton<\/a> will finally make his PS5 debut in 2026.<\/p>\n

The latest game in the series, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam<\/a>, has just been confirmed for a simultaneous worldwide release on Sony\u2019s console. It\u2019ll also come to Switch 2, Switch, and PC.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a new trailer, confirming the target platforms:<\/p>\n

The game will feature full mouse support<\/a> on Sony\u2019s console, so you\u2019ll be able to hook one up via USB and control the game that way if you choose to.<\/p>\n

For those who don\u2019t know, Professor Layton is a long-running puzzle adventure series, which blends visual novel aspects with extremely fun logic puzzles. This new version will feature 3D cutscenes, improved movement, and new companion characters.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s not a Nintendo property, Level-5 has prioritised portable platforms like the DS, 3DS, and even smartphones over the years. This is the first time in the franchise\u2019s near-20 year history that it\u2019ll release on a Sony console.<\/p>\n
