Nope, it’s a chair frame. <\/p>\n

This Arba chair<\/a> has a wonderful gesture that somehow evokes MCM while looking unabashedly modern. The geometry of the lone steel support has been so optimized and minimized that the chair almost\u2014almost\u2014seems like it’s missing something.<\/p>\n

Steel and geometry are good partners because steel is stiff and elastic at the same time. ARBA is a structure reduced to the maximum to make the construction lightweight and simple while also allowing a certain flex, which is key to enabling different bodies of users to interact with the chair. To reinforce this capability, we also used some silent blocks to bring another grade of movement to the chair. So ARBA is made of few lines, shells and points, carefully balanced to create a proper behavior for the lounge.<\/p>\n
