Two food items have been recalled from Irish supermarkets due to a safety risk for those who may eat them.<\/p>\n

The recall is for a dessert sold in Tesco and a ready meal sold in Lidl. Both recalls are asking that consumers do not eat them.<\/p>\n

The Lidl item is the Chef Select Carbonara Pasta Bake, size 1kg. The item does not have a use by date displayed on its packaging.<\/p>\n

The FSAI said: “A small part of a batch of Chef Select Carbonara Pasta Bake sold in March did not have a use-by date on the packs. The correct use-by date for the implicated batch is 09.04.2026. Recall notices will be displayed in Lidl stores. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batch after 09\/04\/2026.”<\/p>\n

While the other item is the Tesco Finest Summer Edition Chocolate Affogato Dessert, size 538g. There is a risk of small plastic pieces from the packaging being found within the food item. All best before dates before and up to April 2027 are affected.<\/p>\n

The FSAI said: “The above batches of Tesco Finest Summer Edition Chocolate Affogato Dessert are being recalled due to the possible presence of small pieces of clear plastic from the packaging. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale in Tesco stores. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.”<\/p>\n
