However, this is one of only two matches they have remaining against a club that starts the weekend below eighth in the table. Three points are a must. Liverpool to win<\/p>\n

Arne Slot has faced Fulham three times and has yet to win. The way this season is going for Liverpool, this could be the Dutchman\u2019s final crack at the Cottagers. He would likely argue mitigating factors. The teams drew at Anfield last season after Andy Robertson was sent off in just the 17th minute. Liverpool then lost the reverse fixture four days after a Merseyside derby, when the title was already all but won.<\/p>\n

As the Reds were leading after 96 minutes at Craven Cottage this season, they should have got over the line. Unfortunately, Harrison Reed then scored from so far out he was practically in east London, never mind west.<\/p>\n

While these outcomes suggest Liverpool have been unfortunate, they and Fulham have identical form over their previous six league games (10 points). What should save them here is the venue. Marco Silva\u2019s men are 17th in the away table. Their four wins on the road have come against teams that are either newly promoted and\/or currently in the bottom four. Liverpool should win, but there\u2019s every chance they\u2019ll make hard work of it.<\/p>\n

Both teams to score, yes<\/p>\n

These teams have produced a lot of entertaining matches in recent years. Both teams scored at least twice in all three meetings in the Slot era, plus Liverpool won 4-3 at Anfield in Jurgen Klopp\u2019s final league battle with the Whites.<\/p>\n

This form has played out for the clubs in the Premier League this season, too. The Reds have scored and conceded in 20 of their 31 matches, the joint-second most behind Manchester United (23). As Fulham are only one game behind Liverpool in these standings, back Both Teams to Score, Yes.<\/p>\n

As much as Liverpool should win, it\u2019s very hard to know who to select as a goal scorer. Hugo Ekitike has scored one goal in his previous seven league games. That\u2019s not great, but it looks fine against Mohamed Salah\u2019s current one-in-12 record. Cody Gakpo (one in 11) is only marginally better than the Egyptian, though he did score in two of the Reds\u2019 previous three matches with Fulham.<\/p>\n

This feels like a match in which their player of the season needs to deliver. Dominik Szoboszlai has rescued Liverpool numerous times this term, but confronted Reds fans after defeat at the Etihad last Saturday. He can win them back with a moment of magic, so pick Szoboszlai in the To Score or Assist market.<\/p>\n

Over 10.5 corners<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for Premier League teams that have seen exactly 323 corners this season (and I\u2019m sure you are), there are two: Fulham and Liverpool. Only three clubs have seen more, which might suggest there should be corners aplenty here.<\/p>\n

Their records only come to 10.4 per game, though; it\u2019s not a huge average. Even so, this match could get frantic, especially if Liverpool need to chase a victory. That will lead to blocked shots galore, with plenty likely to spin out of play. Take Over 10.5 Corners, as three of the last five meetings at Anfield hit double figures.<\/p>\n

Under 2.5 cards<\/p>\n

Referee Anthony Taylor may be something of a wildcard presence for this match. He showed just two yellow cards in his previous Liverpool game, but flashed nine when he was last with Fulham. Robertson\u2019s red aside, these teams haven\u2019t produced many cards in their clashes. The last six, excluding the game in which that sending off occurred, averaged a mere 1.7 yellow cards each.
