Michael Jackson\u2019s son, Bigi \u201cBlanket\u201d Jackson, made a rare public appearance as he attended the world premiere of Michael, a new biopic about his famous dad, in Berlin on April 10<\/p>\n

His cousin, Jafar Jackson, portrays the King of Pop in the movie<\/p>\n

Bigi and brother Prince Jackson sported matching tributes to their late father on the red carpet<\/p>\n

Michael Jackson<\/a>\u2019s son, Bigi \u201cBlanket\u201d Jackson<\/a>, made a rare public appearance to help honor his late father\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

Bigi, 24, attended the world premiere of Michael<\/a>, a new biopic about his famous dad, in Berlin on Friday, April 10.<\/p>\n

There, he was joined by his cousin, Jaafar Jackson<\/a>, who portrays the King of Pop in the movie, and his older brother, Prince Jackson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both Bigi and Prince, 29, honored their dad \u2014 who died at age 50 in 2009 \u2014 with their looks, wearing armbands that were a nod to\u00a0one of Michael’s signature looks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pop star wore the armbands largely as a symbol of helping children in need. His sons’ armbands, meanwhile, featured a photo of Michael’s feet in one of the singer’s iconic dance moves.<\/p>\n

Bigi\u2019s appearance in Berlin marked his first time attending a public event since he showed his support during the preview night of MJ: The Musical<\/a> at London’s Prince Edward Theatre in March 2024.<\/p>\n

There, he was joined by brother Prince and their sister, Paris Jackson<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Recently, Paris, 28, has been absent from events promoting Michael \u2014 produced by co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate, John Branca and John McClain \u2014 due to her desire to distance herself from the project<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The soon-to-be-released Lionsgate biopic will highlight Michael\u2019s \u201clife off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career,\u201d per an official synopsis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jaafar, 29 \u2014 the son of Michael\u2019s brother, Jermaine Jackson<\/a> \u2014 said in a behind-the-scenes video<\/a> for the film, “I never dreamed to be an actor or even thought of playing him. But I knew it was a calling.”<\/p>\n

“Embodying Michael, I really had to earn the role and prove to the filmmakers that I was capable of becoming Michael. Essentially, it was starting at the roots and finding the authenticity,” he added.<\/p>\n

Michael is in theaters on April 24.<\/p>\n
