As the \u201cEspresso\u201d songwriter sat down at her piano on Coachella\u2019s main stage, a fan in the audience let out a Zaghrouta. Carpenter then said into the mic, \u201cI think I heard someone yodel. Is that what you\u2019re doing? I don\u2019t like it.\u201d The fan then yelled, \u201cIt\u2019s my culture!\u201d Carpenter replied, \u201cThat\u2019s your culture, is yodeling?\u201d The fan could then be heard saying, \u201cIt\u2019s a call of celebration.\u201d Carpenter then quipped, \u201cIs this Burning Man? What\u2019s going on? This is weird.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCarpenter\u2019s comments sparked outrage on social media, with some observers condemning the two-time Grammy winner for being callous toward the cultural outcry of joy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCarpenter is one of this year\u2019s Coachella headliners along with Justin Bieber and Karol G.
