Have you been feeling nostalgic for the\u00a0Hunger Games\u00a0movies<\/a>? Lionsgate hopes so, because it gave fans a long look back at the first five films and a tease for the next one, Sunrise on the Reaping<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Running at 16 minutes long, the video goes through major moments of each movie, like Lucy Gray winning in Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes\u00a0and Mockingjay Part I\u2019s Katniss shooting down Capitol aircraft. Love them or hate them, the recap reminds you how for a time, that initial trilogy with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson was a big moment back in the day, and one of the most successful book-to-TV adaptations of that era.<\/p>\n

During the switch between movies, the words \u201cremember\u201d flash on screen like a hijacked TV broadcast, which pays off with the\u00a0Reaping\u00a0preview. There, footage of actors from the original films transitions to their younger counterparts: Philip Seymour Hoffman\u2019s Plutarch is Jesse Plemmons, Elizabeth Banks\u2019 Effie becomes Elle Fanning<\/a>, and Woody Harrelson\u2019s Haymitch morphs to Joseph Zada. Having them say \u201cremember\u201d mid-shift is heavy-handed, but these movies have never been subtle.<\/p>\n

With how much this leans on the past, maybe Lionsgate will put the original movies back in theaters, since that\u2019s all the rage these days. (If not, there\u2019s always streaming: the first five movies are on Prime Video<\/a>, and only Songbirds is on Peacock<\/a>.) the others Either way, \u201cremember\u201d that Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping\u00a0hits theaters on November 20.<\/p>\n
