We are due for some changeable weather conditions over the coming days, but temperatures<\/a> are set up rise.<\/p>\n We may see mild temperatures of about 16 degrees this coming week. Cathal Nolan of Ireland’s Weather<\/a> Channel has predicted a “showery” picture for much of the country over the coming days. However he said that “generally speaking it is going to be an improving picture as we go through the day to day.”<\/p>\n He predicts some heavy rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, with “heavy downpours” and fresh winds. Met Eireann<\/a> echoes this, foreseeing some heavier rain as we move through the week.<\/p>\n The national forecaster also predicts that the week will start off cold, with the chance of some late season frost on Monday.<\/p>\n By Wednesday and Thursday, they predict that temperatures will be up to 11 to 16 degrees, in a mostly fresh southwest wind.<\/p>\n Check out the weather forecast from Met Eireann:<\/p>\n Sunday<\/p>\n Sunshine will be accompanied by scattered heavy showers and potential hail early this afternoon, though most areas will become dry by evening as westerly winds ease. The night will be cold with clear spells and isolated showers, leading to frost and possible ice as temperatures fall between -1 and 3 degrees.<\/p>\n Monday<\/p>\n After a bright start, slow-moving showers will develop from late morning, becoming heaviest in the north with a risk of hail and thunder. Southern areas will stay drier but turn cloudier with evening drizzle in the southwest. Highs of 9 to 12 degrees will be followed by a chilly night with some frost in the north and east as rain begins to move into the west.<\/p>\n Tuesday<\/p>\n Early sunny spells in the north and east will fade as cloudy, breezy weather spreads across the country. Rain and drizzle will extend northeastward throughout the day, turning heavy in western counties by evening with accompanying hill and coastal fog. It will be a mild and wet night with temperatures staying between 7 and 10 degrees.<\/p>\n Wednesday<\/p>\n The weather remains mild, cloudy, and breezy with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. A few pockets of sunshine may break through the cloud cover at times. Temperatures will reach highs of 11 to 16 degrees in a fresh southwest wind.<\/p>\n Thursday<\/p>\n Drier intervals and local sunny spells are expected early in the day, though conditions will remain breezy with patchy drizzle. More general rain is forecast to push up from the southwest during the afternoon and evening.
