Gary Neville has told Arsenal how they \u201cshould look\u201d at the title race as Manchester City \u201cpurred\u201d to victory over Chelsea on Sunday.<\/p>\n

After looking well short of their best in the first half at Stamford Bridge, Pep Guardiola\u2019s side kicked into gear after the break and goals from Nico O\u2019Reilly, Marc Guehi and Jeremy Doku secured a comfortable victory to pile further pressure on Arsenal.<\/p>\n

City are now six points behind Arsenal with a game in hand and face the Gunners in a titanic title clash next weekend.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge, Neville insisted Arsenal being \u201cso desperate\u201d was completely \u201cnatural\u201d as they chase their first Premier League title in 22 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all natural, this. They\u2019re so desperate. Such a massive football club. This is all things you\u2019d expect. Man United didn\u2019t win it for 26 years, Liverpool for 30 years, Arsenal now not for 22 years. These are all normal experiences but they have got to get a grip on it,\u201d Neville said on Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

Asked after City\u2019s win if it was another \u201cpunch in the gut\u201d for Arsenal following their defeat to Bournemouth, Neville said: \u201cYou\u2019re right but they would have expected Man City to win this football game.<\/p>\n

\u201cArsenal have to concentrate on what they\u2019re going to do to Man City next Sunday. Arsenal can win the league next weekend \u2013 that won\u2019t be a popular narrative this week but that\u2019s the fact of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is thinking City will get to within three points but if you\u2019re Arsenal you can win your first title in 22 years next week, that\u2019s how they should look at it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got an enormous game next weekend, a game that will define the Premier League season. Manchester City are smelling blood and have a free week to prepare for a monstrous clash.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neville added: \u201cIt just feels like Man City are starting to purr at the right time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in the home straight now, the period when every game really does matter, and this team know that more than most.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe message they\u2019ve sent to arsenal is not only that they\u2019ve won and won well but also that they\u2019re playing with confidence and they\u2019ve got a bit or arrogance about them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re in a real title race now and they\u2019re breathing down the neck of Arsenal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former City defender Micah Richards described next week\u2019s clash between the title rivals as \u201chumungous\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s on now,\u201d Richards said. \u201cThey have got the win. Now next week is humungous. I cannot wait!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fans believe and they have not stopped believing, the away fans are brilliant. I\u2019m not saying they are going to go and win it but they have given themselves a chance and that\u2019s all they can do.\u201d<\/p>\n
