{"id":396842,"date":"2026-04-13T21:12:29","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T21:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/396842\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T21:12:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T21:12:29","slug":"eli-lilly-just-launched-its-149-obesity-pill-eli-lilly-nyselly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/396842\/","title":{"rendered":"Eli Lilly Just Launched Its $149 Obesity Pill &#8211; Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"block core-block\">Eli Lilly and Co. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/LLY\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"LLY\" data-exchange=\"NYSE\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">(NYSE:<\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/LLY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">LLY<\/a>) on Wednesday announced that Foundayo (orforglipron) is now available to adults with obesity or overweight with weight-related medical problems.<\/p>\n<p>Access Expands Across LillyDirect, Telehealth And Retail Pharmacies<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">When used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, Foundayo helps individuals lose excess body weight and keep the weight off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">&#8220;Foundayo delivers meaningful weight loss \u2013 an average of 27 pounds at the highest dose \u2013 and we made the path from prescription to doorstep as simple as possible,&#8221; said Ilya Yuffa, executive vice president and president of Lilly USA and Global Customer Capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Pricing Starts At $149 With Savings Options Available<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Foundayo is available starting at $149 per month at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/pressreleases\/26\/04\/n51725149\/foundayo-orforglipron-lillys-new-oral-glp-1-pill-for-weight-loss-now-available-in-the-u-s\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">the lowest dose for self-pay patients<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">Eligible and commercially insured people with coverage for Foundayo may pay as little as $25 per month with the Foundayo savings card. Additionally, eligible Medicare Part D individuals may be able to get Foundayo for $50 per month, beginning July 1, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Eli Lilly Inventory Build Signals Readiness For Global Rollout<\/p>\n<p class=\"block core-block\">In February, Eli Lilly said it has stockpiled $1.5 billion worth of inventory of orforglipron.
