{"id":397963,"date":"2026-04-14T13:20:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T13:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/397963\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T13:20:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T13:20:16","slug":"woman-stole-airpods-the-munster-express","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/397963\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman stole AirPods &#8211; The Munster Express"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post-meta\">14th Apr 2026 | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.munster-express.ie\/category\/news\/\" rel=\"category tag nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img width=\"547\" height=\"308\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sca04082026094948362.png\" class=\"attachment-1080x675 size-1080x675 wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" title=\"&lt;strong&gt;Woman stole AirPods &lt;\/strong&gt;\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>A woman charged with stealing Apple AirPods from a shop in Waterford was given the benefit of the Probation Act recently.<\/p>\n<p>Linda Halligan (49) of 6 Ardmore Park, Waterford, appeared before Judge John Cheatle at a recent sitting of Waterford District Court, where she pleaded guilty to theft, contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant John Phelan told the court that on 30 December 2025, Garda\u00ed received a report of theft from Tesco Poleberry, Waterford. The Sergeant said that a woman, identified as the accused, and another person entered the shop and took the AirPods, which were valued at \u20ac97.50.<\/p>\n<p>Sgt.
