Since 2024, Madonna<\/a> has been teasing that her next album will be a sequel to 2005\u2019s Confessions on a Dance Floor<\/a>. This morning, she cleared her Instagram<\/a> and changed her bio to read \u201cTime goes by so slowly\u2026\u201d, a lyric from Confessions\u2019 lead single, \u201cHung Up.\u201d Though an official release date or title have yet to materialize, her official website<\/a> now displays the words \u201cConfessions II\u201d and what appears to be the new album\u2019s cover art. Madonna first alluded to the existence of a Confessions follow-up in December 2024, when she posted a video<\/a> of herself in the studio with the original LP\u2019s producer, Stuart Price. Then, last year, she confirmed that she had returned<\/a> to her original label, Warner Records, where she put out all of her studio albums from 1983\u2019s self-titled debut<\/a> to 2008\u2019s Hard Candy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the seven years following the release of 2019\u2019s Madame X<\/a>, Madonna has shared two remix compilations\u2014Finally Enough Love<\/a> and the Ray of Light<\/a>-era collection Veronica Electronica<\/a>\u2014and collaborated with Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>, Fireboy DML<\/a>, and Sam Smith<\/a>. She also reworked<\/a> \u201cHung Up\u201d alongside Dominican dembow star Tokischa. A Madonna biopic<\/a> starring Julia Garner was scrapped<\/a> in 2023, but will apparently be a plot point in season two of the Apple TV+ series The Studio<\/a>.<\/p>\n
