A 54-year-old woman has died two weeks after being assaulted in her home in Carlow.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to a residence in Graiguecullen shortly after 6am on 26 March.<\/p>\n
Linda Costello was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital Carlow Kilkenny and subsequently to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.<\/p>\n
A man in his 40s was arrested in connection but has since been released, with a file sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed say an investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n
A notice on RIP.ie says Ms Costello is survived by her two children, Ben and Amy, their father Larry, her parents, sister and brother-in-law.<\/p>\n
