A mental health assessment has been ordered for a man who called a magistrate a \u201cmurderer\u201d during a disturbing court appearance. <\/p>\n
The man, who cannot be named and is charged with contravening a domestic violence order, appeared agitated on the screen via videolink in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Tuesday. <\/p>\n
Lashing out at Magistrate Trinity McGarvie, he demanded to speak to a new magistrate and bizarrely claimed he could \u201csee the blood on (her) hands.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also could be heard saying that \u201cJesus Christ is back\u201d and calling Ms McGarvie a \u201ccorrupt dog\u201d while pacing around the small room. <\/p>\n
A day prior the man had told the court he had not been offered \u201ca drink of water\u201d while in custody.<\/p>\n
\u201cI demand proper legal representation,\u201d he said when questioned about his case again on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Ms McGarvie remained composed and persisted in asking the man questions about his proceedings until it was declared he was not in the right state of mind to appear in court.<\/p>\n
