I originally studied nutritional science and spent 16 years working as a medical representative. When covid hit, I found myself reassessing things and returning to my roots in nutrition, which led me to train as a wellness coach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the beginning, I visited schools, giving talks and demonstrations, but it naturally evolved in to exercise classes, yoga, and wellness retreats. I quickly realised there was one group being overlooked \u2014 older adults. There simply weren\u2019t many options tailored to them. That really struck me during a retreat I ran at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Clonakilty, when two participants couldn\u2019t take part in the yoga. The biggest reward is seeing their confidence grow, their mobility improve, and knowing I\u2019m helping them maintain their independence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cMy classes are full of energy and always set to music \u2014 plenty of golden oldies \u2014 and there\u2019s a real sense of fun and connection. It\u2019s not just about movement; it\u2019s about enjoyment and social interaction, too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            I\u2019m very passionate about combining movement with good nutrition. Often, it\u2019s about giving people simple, practical advice and the confidence to make better choices.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cOne thing I always say is that age doesn\u2019t define ability. I have people in their 90s in my classes, and what they can do would surprise you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cAs founder of Feel Good Health and Fitness, I run a range of classes focused on balance, mobility, and strength \u2014 key components in maintaining physical health, preventing falls, and supporting mental wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cRegular movement and social connection play a vital role in healthy ageing, supporting not just physical strength and mobility, but also brain health, mood, confidence, and overall quality of life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cMy wellness retreats, tailored specifically for the over-60s, combine exercise, nutrition talks, food demonstrations, guest speakers, and exhibitors \u2014 creating a space for genuine connection, learning, and personal growth. \u201cMy aim is to redefine fitness for the over-60s, bringing joy, energy, empathy, and a love of golden oldies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWhen I\u2019m not working, I love to swim or run.
