The recognition reflects broader momentum behind women\u2019s rugby and the increasing investment in how it is brought to audiences.<\/p>\n<p>Also shortlisted in the category were TG4\u2019s coverage of the British &amp; Irish Lions v Argentina \u2013 1888 Cup, RT\u00c9\u2019s FIFA World Cup Qualifier between Hungary and the Republic of Ireland, TG4\u2019s flagship GAA BEO: S\u00e1r-Dhomhnach \/ Super Sunday, and the URC Final 2025 between Leinster and the Vodacom Bulls, produced by IRIS Productions for TG4 \u2014 a strong reflection of the depth and diversity of live sport production across Irish broadcasters.<\/p>\n<p>In the Sports Documentary category, \u201cCamogie: Inside the Championship\u201d produced by Kite Entertainment and True Films for RT\u00c9 took top honours.<\/p>\n<p>The programme offered an in-depth look at the players, preparation and pressures within elite camogie, reflecting the insatiable appetite in recent years for behind-the-scenes storytelling in sport. Its success points to the value of long-form content in building deeper engagement with athletes and competitions.<\/p>\n<p>The shortlist also featured a broad mix of storytelling approaches, including \u201cGeorge Best i gCorcaigh\u201d from Dearg Films for TG4, \u201cHell For Leather: The Story of Gaelic Football\u201d from Crossing the Line Productions for RT\u00c9, \u201cOne Valentine\u2019s Day in Edinburgh\u201d from Carbonated Comet Productions for RT\u00c9, and \u201cThis is Open Country\u201d from Rocky Valley Productions for Sky Ireland, highlighting the range of sporting narratives being explored across Irish television.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond sport, the awards showcased the breadth of Ireland\u2019s television sector, with winners across scripted, factual, entertainment and current affairs programming.
