{"id":403562,"date":"2026-04-17T15:04:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T15:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/403562\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T15:04:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T15:04:12","slug":"new-song-released-in-co-louth-to-raise-autism-awareness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/403562\/","title":{"rendered":"New song released in Co Louth to raise autism awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new song and music video have been released to raise awareness around autism.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;m Okay&#8217; was written by Dundalk secondary school teacher Pamela Campbell, who took inspiration from local children with autism.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Campbell, who teaches music and Irish at De La Salle College in the town said the song aims to promote acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The song&#8217;s message is simple but profound: people with autism are not broken, not lost, not in need of fixing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are okay. They see the world differently &#8211; and that difference deserves to be understood, accepted, and celebrated,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>The lyrics include the line &#8220;I&#8217;m okay, I&#8217;m doing fine.
