It has now been two months since Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her home near Tucson, Ariz., where the 84-year-old mother of NBCToday show cohost Savannah Guthrie was last seen. Authorities have not named a suspect or identified a motive in her apparent abduction.<\/p>\n

Here is a timeline of key developments in the investigation.<\/p>\n

Jan. 31<\/p>\n

Nancy Guthrie is last seen around 9:45 p.m. when she is dropped off by her family at her home in the Catalina Foothills north of Tucson, Ariz., after having dinner with her daughter Annie Guthrie, who lives nearby.<\/p>\n

Feb. 1<\/p>\n

Nancy Guthrie\u2019s pacemaker stops syncing with her Apple devices at 2:28 a.m., according to police. She is reported missing around noon after she did not show up at a friend\u2019s house to watch an online church service.<\/p>\n

Feb. 2<\/p>\n

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos says police believe Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped and didn\u2019t leave her home on her own.<\/p>\n

Feb. 3<\/p>\n

TMZ and two Tucson television news stations receive what appears to be a ransom note, demanding millions of dollars in bitcoin. The FBI is not able to immediately verify its authenticity.<\/p>\n

Feb. 4<\/p>\n

Nancy Guthrie\u2019s adult children post an Instagram video<\/a> addressing a possible kidnapper, saying that the family is ready to talk, but they need proof that their mother is alive.<\/p>\n

Feb. 10<\/p>\n

The FBI releases video<\/a> and images<\/a> of what it said was an \u201carmed individual\u201d appearing to tamper with a doorbell camera at Nancy Guthrie\u2019s home on the morning she was reported missing.<\/p>\n

Feb. 16<\/p>\n

Nanos releases a statement saying all members of Nancy Guthrie\u2019s family, including siblings and spouses, have been cleared as possible suspects. \u201cTo suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel,\u201d Nanos said.<\/p>\n

Feb. 17<\/p>\n

Police say DNA from gloves found about 2 miles away from Nancy Guthrie\u2019s house turned up no matches in the FBI\u2019s national database.<\/p>\n

Feb. 24<\/p>\n

Savannah Guthrie posts a new video<\/a> announcing the family\u2019s $1 million reward for information that leads to Nancy Guthrie’s \u201crecovery.\u201d The Today host says that while the family still believes \u201cin a miracle,\u201d they also know that \u201cshe may already be gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Feb. 27<\/p>\n

The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department says it is \u201crefocusing resources\u201d in the Nancy Guthrie case but not giving up the search. \u201cThis remains an active investigation and will continue until Nancy Guthrie is located or all leads have been exhausted,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s department said.<\/p>\n

March 25<\/p>\n

In her first interview since her mother\u2019s disappearance, Savannah Guthrie tells Today show cohost Hoda Kotb that she fears her mother may have been targeted because of her own fame.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s too much to bear to think that I brought this to her bedside, that it\u2019s because of me,\u201d Savannah said. \u201cAnd I just want to say I\u2019m so sorry, Mommy. I\u2019m so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n
