model Jodie Marsh denies assault and faces trial next year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former glamour model Jodie Marsh has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a man and will stand trial next year.<\/p>\n<p>The media personality, wearing a black leather jacket, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates\u2019 Court on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Marsh, 47, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Christopher Hynes by beating him on January 16th of this year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"491\" width=\"640\" loading=\"lazy\" guilty to one count of assault by beating and two of using threatening words or behaviour (Sam Russell\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>She also pleaded not guilty to two counts of using threatening words or behaviour on the same date in Dunmow, Essex, one in respect of Mr Hynes and one in respect of Susan Hammond.<\/p>\n<p>She earlier spoke to confirm her name and date of birth, and her address was given to the court as her solicitor\u2019s office in London.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy district judge Rhys Rosser released her on unconditional bail until her trial at Colchester Magistrates\u2019 Court on May 7, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Marsh said \u201cthank you\u201d to the judge at the end of the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Last year a judge ruled that Ms Marsh could keep lemurs at her animal sanctuary in Lindsell, nine miles north west of Braintree.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"977\" width=\"640\" loading=\"lazy\" former glamour model appeared before magistrates on Friday (Sam Russell\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>Uttlesford District Council had previously rejected Ms Marsh\u2019s application for a wild animal licence after complaints, but Ms Marsh told a court hearing that online trolls were behind much of the criticism of her sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>The judge who heard Ms Marsh\u2019s appeal against the refusal of the licence, which he directed should be granted with conditions, said Ms Marsh \u201cgenuinely cares\u201d for the animals at her sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>But he said it was \u201cevident\u201d that there was \u201cconsiderable animosity between Ms Marsh and the members of the local community\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>An Essex Police spokesman said officers were called to an address in Lindsell at about 12.40pm on Friday, January 16.<\/p>\n<p>There were \u201creports of a woman behaving aggressively towards a man and assaulting him\u201d and it was \u201cfurther reported that verbal threats were made\u201d, the
