An exciting addition to Paul Street’s Fifth Quarter Shopping Centre<\/p>\n

Room to Improve is one of RTE’s most popular shows, with thousands of fans tuning in to watch every season. Now, for rebels looking for a taste of the show in their own homes, interior designer Celene Collins has opened a brand new, exciting studio in the city centre.<\/p>\n

The RT\u00c9 star unveiled the design studio alongside fellow TV personality Kieran McCarthy of RT\u00c9’s Heat My Home fame at the new location, The Fifth Quarter on Paul’s Street.<\/p>\n

The Cork-based designer said the choice of location was a natural fit. \u201cI\u2019m especially delighted to be based at The Fifth Quarter. It feels fitting to design from within a place that\u2019s also evolving and finding new life in the city, a space I\u2019m so proud to help reimagine with the owners.\u201d<\/p>\n

While she is best known for her home interiors, her commercial and hospitality work continues to grow. She is extending her design practice and customised home textiles into a sensory brand experience with a new signature scent. Collins said being based in the city centre is critical for this.<\/p>\n

The launch event centred on practical advice for homeowners planning renovations or new builds, with Collins and McCarthy sharing insights on how to more effectively align design and construction from the outset.<\/p>\n

With more than 20 years\u2019 experience, Collins has developed a portfolio spanning private homes, boutique hotels, caf\u00e9s, restaurants, workplaces and period properties.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launch, Collins said the studio was designed to make the design process more accessible. \u201cThis studio was created as a welcoming, practical place for people to explore ideas and feel confident about their design decisions. Whether that\u2019s a homeowner planning a renovation, or a business considering how their space supports their brand and customers, I wanted it to feel accessible and creative.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added how much she appreciates working with a great team, \u201cCollaborating with experts like Kieran, who bring strong on-the-ground building experience, helps ensure spaces are not only beautiful but work in practice from day one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her new studio offers a range of services, from two-hour consultations covering layouts, kitchens, colour schemes, lighting and furniture, supported by an online storyboard, through to fully managed, bespoke design packages.<\/p>\n

Kieran McCarthy said bringing both disciplines together early in a project can make a significant difference for homeowners. \u201cWhen design and construction are aligned from the start, it leads to better decisions, fewer surprises and ultimately better homes.\u201d<\/p>\n
