Muse<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Matt Bellamy<\/a>\u00a0has made a surprise appearance during\u00a0Anyma\u2019s\u00a0set at Coachella<\/a> \u2013 check out\u00a0footage\u00a0below.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0American-Italian\u00a0DJ and producer was playing a set on the festival\u2019s main stage\u00a0after headliner\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u00a0on Friday night (April 17)\u00a0when the unannounced collaboration went down.<\/p>\n

With\u00a0Anyma\u00a0behind the decks, Bellamy sang an unreleased\u00a0track that fans believe is titled \u2018Carrier\u00a0Of\u00a0Souls\u2019,\u00a0set for\u00a0possible inclusion\u00a0in\u00a0Anyma\u2019s next studio album.<\/p>\n

The song opened with Bellamy singing over moody atmospherics, before the track erupted into\u00a0a huge\u00a0prog-techno production.\u00a0\u201cBreath was warming, a frozen silent field \/ Your touch grows cold, the pain may never heal \/ A storm is building, where faithless lovers cry \/ Your hand slipped free, before you said goodbye,\u201d Bellamy sang.<\/p>\n

It comes a week after\u00a0Anyma\u2019s set at the first weekend of Coachella was called off<\/a>\u00a0at the last minute due to severe weather conditions. \u201cDue to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma\u2019s stage build, he is unable to perform,\u201d a statement released 15 minutes ahead of his performance read.<\/p>\n

Last year,\u00a0NME\u00a0sat down with Anyma to discuss his Coachella debut<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s basically a whole new world that I\u2019m in the process of building right now,\u201d he explained at the time. \u201cYou can expect some new characters, new\u00a0songs\u00a0and different perspectives on\u00a0the storytelling. I want to move forward. I want to carry on with the core of what I\u00a0do, but\u00a0also push things a little further.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole project is meant to [evoke] emotions from people and create community that maybe, at a later date, helps push things forward without me,\u201d he added. \u201cThe more exposure, the more people resonate with it, the better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Muse, meanwhile,\u00a0are preparing to release their 10th\u00a0album \u2018The Wow! Signal\u2019 on June 26<\/a>, and they have shared the new single \u2018Be\u00a0With\u00a0You\u2019.\u00a0They\u00a0also\u00a0debuted\u00a0a number of\u00a0songs from the record at an intimate show at London\u2019s O2 Academy Brixton<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month.<\/p>\n
