<\/p>\nElectric Picnic announced more acts in the past few days, with Irish acts making up a big share of the line-up.<\/p>\n
The Mary Wallopers, The Saw Doctors, Madra Salach, Florence Road, Gurriers, The Scratch, The Stunning, Bleech 9:3, Cliffords, and Jamie McIntyre will all play in Stradbally in August.<\/p>\n
Irish headliners CMAT and Fontaines D.C. will be in good company.<\/p>\n
The Mary Wallopers<\/p>\n
The Dundalk-based folk group are no strangers to Electric Picnic, having played on the main stage at the Co Laois festival in 2024.<\/p>\n
They are best known for their covers of Cod Liver Oil & The Orange Juice and Eileen \u00d3g, which have amassed over 18 million streams between them on Spotify.<\/p>\n

Their most recent single, The Juice, came out in August 2025.<\/p>\n
The Saw Doctors<\/p>\n
An act that needs no introduction, The Saw Doctors will return to Stradbally in 2026.<\/p>\n
The folk-rock band, formed in Galway in the 1980s, have played at Electric Picnic many times over the last few years, including on the main stage in 2025.<\/p>\n
Their biggest hits include I Useta Lover, N17, and Green and Red of Mayo.<\/p>\n
Madra Salach<\/p>\n
The six-piece folk band from Dublin have gone from strength to strength over the last year.<\/p>\n
It was announced in November that they would be supporting Kneecap, alongside The Mary Wallopers and Gurriers, at Crystal Palace Park in June.<\/p>\n

They also just completed an Ireland\/UK tour, and recently announced that they would be back in the UK for another tour later this year.<\/p>\n
The group said playing Electric Picnic is “so exciting”.<\/p>\n
Gurriers<\/p>\n
The Irish post-punk group released their debut album, Come and See, in 2024, having been releasing singles since 2021.<\/p>\n
The themes of their music range from\u00a0disenfranchised youth of Dublin to the rise of the far right and desensitisation to violence.<\/p>\n
They will also perform at Waterford festival All Together Now over the August bank holiday weekend.<\/p>\n
They will perform across Europe and the UK in the months leading up to their festival performances.<\/p>\n
Florence Road<\/p>\n
The Irish rock band, formed in Co Wicklow, consists\u00a0of lead singer and guitarist Lily Aron, guitarist Emma Brandon, bassist Ailbhe Barry, and drummer Hannah Kelly.<\/p>\n
In March 2025, the band released their single ‘Heavy’, co-written with Marshall Vore and John Hill.<\/p>\n
The band supported Olivia Rodrigo during selected dates of her Guts World Tour, including performances at Marlay Park, and toured briefly with Electric Picnic headliner Sombr.<\/p>\n
They supported The Last Dinner Party on their North American tour this year.<\/p>\n
The Scratch<\/p>\n
The Scratch, an Irish band based in Dublin, blend Irish traditional music and heavy metal.<\/p>\n
Founded in Perrystown in 2016, they released their first album, Couldn’t Give a Rats, in 2020, and their second, Mind Yourself, in 2023.<\/p>\n
The Scratch will embark on a UK tour later this month and European tour later this year, having just completed an Australian tour on April 12th.<\/p>\n
The Stunning<\/p>\n
Formed in the late 1980s in Galway, Irish rock band The Stunning are best known for their singles Brewing Up a Storm, Romeo’s on Fire, Half Past Two, and Heads Are Gonna Roll.<\/p>\n
The Stunning will play Momentum Festival in Galway on May 1st and at King John’s Castle in Limerick on May 30th.<\/p>\n
The group said they were “delighted to be playing the Electric Picnic for the first time since 2008!”<\/p>\n
Bleech 9:3<\/p>\n
Bleech 9:3 consists of songwriters\/guitarists Barry Quinlan and Sam Duffy, James Quinlan (bass), and Luke O\u2019Neill (drums).<\/p>\n
2025 saw the Irish alt-grunge group open up for Keo and Shame as well as booking sold-out headline shows.<\/p>\n
They rounded out the year with a three-night residency at London’s Blue Basement.<\/p>\n
Cliffords<\/p>\n
Hailing from Cork, Cliffords burst onto the Irish indie scene in 2024 with their single Sleeping with Ghosts.<\/p>\n

Their debut album Salt of the Lee came out in October in 2025 after the release of a few EPs beforehand.<\/p>\n
Cliffords will open for Florence and the Machine in Milan in July.<\/p>\n
Jamie McIntyre<\/p>\n
Galway-born Jamie McIntyre will play at Electric Picnic for the second time in three years this year.<\/p>\n
His biggest hits include Over Galway Town, Melbourne, and Outside the City.<\/p>\n
On his Electric Picnic appearance, McIntyre said: “It\u2019s a privilege to be able to bring my music to you in such a wonderful place. My second time playing EP in three years. But this time it\u2019s different.<\/p>\n
“This one\u2019s gonna be special.
