The pair performed songs including Madonna’s hits Vogue and Like A Prayer, along with a new song reportedly from the 67-year-old\u2019s upcoming album Confessions II, during Friday\u2019s set at the festival in California.<\/a><\/p>\nCarpenter, 26, said in an Instagram post on Sunday: “Madonna\u2026 I\u2019ve got something I wanna talk about.<\/p>\n
“Thank you for coming out, bringing your love, and gracing the audience with everything you are and astrology knowledge and the greatest songs of all time.<\/p>\n
“Last night was straight out of a dream. Spending so much time laughing with you and then above all sharing the stage with you is a privilege I\u2019ll never forget.”<\/p>\n

During the performance Madonna appeared on stage after Carpenter had been performing her song Juno.<\/p>\n
At its viral “have you ever tried this one before?” moment, Carpenter struck a pose reminiscent of those in the music video for Vogue, and the music changed to the 1990 single as Madonna walked out.<\/p>\n
During the set, Madonna reportedly told the crowd: “Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella \u2013 I was in the dance tent and it was the first time I performed Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part I in America and that was such a thrill for me.<\/p>\n
“So you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later, so it\u2019s a like a full circle moment, you know \u2013 very meaningful for me.”<\/p>\n

Madonna, whose full name is Madonna Ciccone, released her latest single I Feel So Free \u2013 from her upcoming record, a follow-up to the 2005 album \u2013 on Saturday, having sent it out early to clubs and DJs.<\/p>\n
She wore a light purple outfit and Carpenter wore a white corset during the performance in the Colorado Desert in California. Her latest record, Confessions II, will be released on 3 July.<\/p>\n
Madonna has won many accolades including seven Grammys and two BRIT Awards.<\/p>\n
Carpenter rose to worldwide fame in 2024 with the release of her sixth album Short ‘N\u2019 Sweet, which contained hit singles such as Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste.<\/p>\n
She followed the album with last year\u2019s Man\u2019s Best Friend, which contained hit singles such as Manchild and House Tour.<\/p>\n
