Married At First Sight <\/a>groom Danny Hewitt <\/a>has revealed his prediction about women “queuing up for him” after the reality show hasn’t lived up to expectations.<\/p>\n

Danny and fellow MAFS star Steven Danyluk<\/a> were on Sydney’s Seadeck<\/a> boat on Saturday, and the British real estate agent<\/a> was asked about his controversial comments where he said women would be “throwing their pantyhose” at him.<\/p>\n

He defended the remarks as “tongue-in-cheek”<\/a> but added that he hasn’t been flooded with propositions from women now that the experiment is over.<\/p>\n

“More blokes have come up to me for photos than women. That says it all. No pantyhose have been thrown at me,” he told the Seadeck host.<\/p>\n

His controversial comments were aired last week during the finale episode of the Channel 9 show.<\/p>\n

Danny didn’t show up to the final reunion, but his wife, Bec Zacharia, was there and she watched unseen footage of the 34-year-old talking about life after the experiment.<\/p>\n

He said life would be “bright” without Bec and he thought he would be hounded by ladies.<\/p>\n

“After this there are going to be women queuing up for me. I won’t be able to walk down the street, they’ll be throwing their pantyhose at me so either way it’s gonna be alright,” he said.<\/p>\n

In the Seadeck interview, he insisted he wasn’t looking for love right now and needed to work on himself.<\/p>\n

He teased that he might even throw himself into a boxing camp to mend his mind.<\/p>\n

It’s not the first time that Danny has tried to explain away some of his comments on the TV show.<\/p>\n

Unaired footage shown on Stan’s\u00a0After The Dinner Party<\/a> showed Danny saying he could have found a better wife at Coles.<\/p>\n

He also said Bec’s behaviour on the show <\/a>would have been acceptable if she was a 15 out of 10, but he said she was not that attractive.<\/p>\n

Danny posted a video late last week saying he regretted making those comments.<\/p>\n

“I am sure most of you hate me, I don’t blame you,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I hate myself so join the club. I wanted to jump on here and apologise for some of the comments, or all of the comments, I made on the Stan’After The Dinner Party show.<\/p>\n

“I am so ashamed of myself.”<\/p>\n

He specifically apologised for the way he spoke to and about Bec and fellow bride Stephanie Marshall, who was married to Tyson Gordon <\/a>on the show.<\/p>\n

However, Danny added that he had a “dry sense of humour” and it can “come across wrong” to people who don’t know him.<\/p>\n

“But I’m not here to make excuses or blame it on a sense of humour or anything like that. I’m here to own up to my mistakes and apologise,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I’ve probably got a lot of soul searching to do.”<\/p>\n

He added that no matter what people say to him or about him, he is thinking worse of himself at the moment.<\/p>\n
