David Haye has faced controversy during his time on I\u2019m A Celeb\u2026 South Africa (Bradley Collyer\/PA)<\/p>\nAshley Roberts and Scarlett Moffatt are among the celebrities who have offered their support to their co-star Adam Thomas, after he said David Haye \u201cbroke\u201d him during his time on I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026 South Africa.<\/p>\n
The 37-year-old actor said the boxer \u201cpushed me to my limits\u201d while on the ITV reality show, but said that Haye has since apologised and the pair have moved on, adding: \u201cI\u2019m not one to hold a grudge.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the post, which was shared to Instagram on Sunday, Thomas also detailed how having psoriatic arthritis really \u201ctook its toll\u201d while on the show, and said he found it \u201cexhausting\u201d to \u201cpretend to put on a brave face\u201d and hide the pain.<\/p>\n
Thomas also shared an image of himself in the jungle, and told his 1.2 million followers \u201cthis picture breaks my heart\u201d as he explained how he was struggling due to his condition.<\/p>\n
The Manchester-born actor revealed his diagnosis in 2023 and has since been outspoken about having psoriatic arthritis, which is a long-term condition that causes joint pain, swelling and stiffness, according to the NHS.<\/p>\n
Viewers were outraged following Friday night\u2019s episode of the popular reality show, during which Haye criticised Thomas after he opted out of a bushtucker trial because he was \u201cdehydrated\u201d and \u201cnot feeling well\u201d.<\/p>\n
Thomas explained to the camp he was not feeling on \u201ctop form\u201d, and Haye responded: \u201cWhen is your top form going to come? Why aren\u2019t we forcing this dude to go and do (the trial)? Every time there\u2019s something to do, he\u2019s not feeling well.\u201d<\/p>\n
It is not the first time the boxer has faced controversy for his actions on the spin-off show, having caused a stir last week for his remarks on \u201cugly birds\u201d while discussing his girlfriend Sian Osborne.<\/p>\n

Thomas\u2019 comments were flooded with support from fans and fellow celebrities including his I\u2019m A Celeb co-star Roberts, who wrote: \u201cAdam bless you. You have such a big heart. I\u2019m sorry you struggled in there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gogglebox star Moffatt, who was also on the all-star show, said: \u201cAwwww Adam I bloody love you. You\u2019re one of the kindest men I know.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf my little boy ends up being as caring as you then I know I\u2019ll have done a good job a mam. Lots of love.\u201d<\/p>\n
His twin brother, TV personality Scott Thomas, wrote: \u201cI wish I could have been there for you my brother\u2026it makes me so angry that you went through that\u2026but I\u2019m so proud of how you\u2019ve come out of the other side of all this\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cThe strongest you\u2019ve ever been and on an incredible journey\u2026standing in your power.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile their eldest brother, Ryan, joked that he would not have stuck up for his sibling in the jungle, and said that the famous boxer is \u201cnot the guy to pick a fight with\u201d, followed by multiple laughing emojis.<\/p>\n
Other celebrities to comment include his former Emmerdale co-star Danny Miller, TV personality Jess Wright and fellow Waterloo Road star Denise Welch.<\/p>\n
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Luba Mushtuk, who was partnered with Thomas during the 2023 series of the show, also commented.<\/p>\n
Broadcaster Carol Vorderman, who revealed she had been diagnosed with arthritis in 2025, was also among the well-wishers and said: \u201cAdam \u2026 I love you. We\u2019ve spoken about arthritis and it\u2019s so hard to describe the all consuming pain and exhaustion it gives you to someone who hasn\u2019t had it.\u201d<\/p>\n
