Christina Applegate<\/a> has issued a short but thoughtful response to reports<\/a> that she was recently hospitalized. <\/p>\n

The \u201cDead to Me\u201d actor, who has multiple sclerosis, shared a statement on her Instagram account<\/a> Monday alluding to recent health concerns but did not confirm or deny the reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes,\u201d she wrote. \u201cHealth issues are a constant for me, but I\u2019m a strong chick and I\u2019m getting stronger and better every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m taking a moment to focus on my health,\u201d she continued, \u201cbut I\u2019ll be back with more to say soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of Monday afternoon, Applegate\u2019s post had drawn a plethora of well-wishes, including from some of her famous pals. <\/p>\n

\u201cChristina, just in case today\u2019s mail got lost: We the public would like to formally submit that we adore you, support you, and RIDE AT DAWN FOR YOU ALWAYS,\u201d actor and singer Cheyenne Jackson<\/a> wrote. <\/p>\n

Actor and TV host Jerry O\u2019Connell<\/a> added: \u201cAlways here, CA! Heart you!!!\u201d <\/p>\n

Applegate\u2019s post comes just days after TMZ reported<\/a> she was hospitalized in Los Angeles. Though short on specifics, the report claimed the actor had been admitted to the hospital in late March, and noted that \u201cMeSsy<\/a>,\u201d her joint podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler <\/a>of \u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d had begun a hiatus March 31.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no comment whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,\u201d a representative for Applegate later told Entertainment Weekly<\/a> in response to TMZ\u2019s report. \u201cShe\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applegate, 54, went public<\/a> with her MS diagnosis in 2021. Since then, she\u2019s become an outspoken advocate<\/a> for others living with the autoimmune disease, which impacts one\u2019s ability to walk and move independently. <\/p>\n

Appearing on Hoda Kotb\u2019s \u201cMaking Space<\/a>\u201d podcast last year, Applegate described her experience with MS as \u201cdisheartening\u201d and said she felt her symptoms had been \u201cgetting worse.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have days where I can\u2019t even walk to the bathroom, so I am defined by it,\u201d she said<\/a> at the time. \u201cI\u2019m angry at it still, and there\u2019s a lot of us out there who are newly diagnosed that are not quite ready to accept this reality. I keep thinking that I\u2019m just going to wake up from this nightmare, and it\u2019s just going to be over.\u201d<\/p>\n
