Larger-than-life food influencer, Big John, was seen testing out some of Cork’s fave spots. The ‘Boshfather’ known for his simple catchphrase ‘Bosh’, shared the seal of approval to his one million followers on social media.<\/p>\n
The famous UK foodie was knocking around Oliver Plunkett Street this week and stopped to give some Cork faves a ‘Bosh’. Big John shared his visit to the Oliver Plunkett Bar, where he tasted Irish stew and, of course, Leeside’s famous stout. He told his fans that he hadn’t had a drink in months, but “when you’re in Cork, you gotta have a Beamish. Beamish – Bosh!”<\/p>\n
The star seems to have felt a bit sorry for himself as in another post, not too long after his pint of beamish he said, “The look of guilt when you had your first pint of beer in 9 months! But no regrets, a pint of Beamish in Cork was a legendary shout. What a drop of beer this is. Up the Beamish. Bosh!”<\/p>\n

He was also spotted at Cork’s oldest chipper, Kiely’s, as they welcomed him in a recent social media post: “We were delighted to welcome the one and only John Fisher (aka Big John) into Kiely\u2019s Chipper this weekend. He stopped by while filming a brand new show airing later this year\u2026 keep your eyes peeled.”<\/p>\n
The boisterous food influencer shared his excitement at visiting the Rebel County on his Instagram, saying, “Cork let\u2019s av it”. And have it, he did as he moved on to County Clare and was delighted with a Supermac’s along his travels.<\/p>\n
Big John Fisher is a popular foodie on Instagram and TikTok, with over one million followers across both apps. Hailing from Essex, the ‘Boshfather’ is well known for his recognizable character and, of course, his simple and catchy one-liner – ‘Bosh’.<\/p>\n
This is not the first time Cork food businesses have been visited by big names on social media. Just last month, Matthew Binge stopped by the highly-rated ‘The Pie Guys’ stall in the English Market and went for one of their most popular options, the Beef and Beamish pie, made with the famous Cork stout.
