T-Rex Ultra 2<\/a>, and its less intimidating, lower-bulk design could well make it more appealing. <\/p>\nIt has a 1.32-inch screen with a high-resolution OLED panel and Sapphire screen protection. But unlike the T-Rex series it does not have a chunky bezel for extra ruggedization. <\/p>\n
The bezel actually stands out on the spec sheet, as while the main casing material is light and high-end titanium, the bezel is plastic. However, look close and you\u2019ll see this is just a slim and unobtrusive border between the screen glass and metal casing. <\/p>\n
Plastic is also used for part of the sidewall, including the more intricate speaker outlet \u2014 the tooling for which is going to be much easier than dealing with titanium. <\/p>\n
Its primary practical concession is the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro is only 5ATM water resistant, where more rugged models offer 10ATM. This one is not for diving. But it does have a dual mode red\/white flashlight built-in. <\/p>\n
Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro Features<\/p>\n
Plenty of higher-end features are offered here, though. The Cheetah 2 Pro has 32GB storage, which can be used to store offline mapping data. <\/p>\n
The watch offers turn-by-turn navigation for pre-planned routes, and it can automatically re-route if you go the wrong way during a session. You can also set beginning and end points and have the watch work out an optimal route. <\/p>\n
Athlete-ready stats include VO2 Max, Training Load and Training Effect, and you\u2019ll see a performance indicator for workouts versus your baseline. <\/p>\n
These stats and mapping support make the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro somewhat comparable with a Garmin Forerunner 970, although there are some clear shortcomings with the Amazfit. <\/p>\n
It does not support music services like Spotify, but you can store music on the watch to stream to Bluetooth headphones or control music played through a connected phone. <\/p>\n
The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro does not provide ECG readings either, but it will notify you about abnormal heart rate behaviour. And its sensor array is well-equipped. <\/p>\n
As well as an optical heart rate reader capable of recording oxygen saturation, there\u2019s a skin temperature sensor, dual-band GPS and a barometric altimeter. <\/p>\n
It\u2019s a 48mm diameter watch of 13.2mm thickness, allowing for a large 540mAh battery. This leads to battery life of up to 20 days, or eight days in the Always On display mode. <\/p>\n
The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro is a a sequel to the original Cheetah Pro from 2023. This one comes with endorsement from marathon runner Rory Linkletter, who says he has used the watch as part of his Boston marathon training. <\/p>\n
