Nemo Rangers picked up a much-needed win as they got the better of \u00c9ire \u00d3g in their McCarthy Insurance Division One football league clash at Trabeg on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The win sees Nemo move ahead of \u00c9ire \u00d3g at the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n

Coming into this game, Nemo had only one win, but on the night, they were deserving winners overall, despite the best efforts of \u00c9ire \u00d3g.<\/p>\n

At half time the sides were level, and Nemo would have been the happier of the two, having played against a strong wind for the first 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

Ross Corkery had opened the scoring for them before Brian Thompson and Jack Murphy replied to put the visitors in front.<\/p>\n

But Nemo then took over and hit six points without reply.<\/p>\n

Corkery got their second with Conor Horgan adding their third, to see them lead 0-3 to 0-2 with eight minutes gone.<\/p>\n

Dara O\u2019Sullivan added another, and Corkery got his third to stretch their lead further.<\/p>\n

By the time 13 minutes were played, they were 0-7 to 0-2 in front, with Horgan and O\u2019Sullivan on target again.<\/p>\n

But credit to \u00c9ire \u00d3g, they hit back with Jerome Kelleher landing a two-pointer to reduce the gap.<\/p>\n

Horgan, Tim O\u2019Brien, and Corkery responded for Nemo, to make it 0-10 to 0-4.<\/p>\n

Again, \u00c9ire \u00d3g upped their game and finished the half strongly to draw level.<\/p>\n

Two apiece from Murphy and Thompson made it 0-10 to 0-8, before Oisin O\u2019Shea landed their second two-pointer to see the sides level at half-time.<\/p>\n

Early points from Jack O\u2019Brien and O\u2019Sullivan extended Nemo\u2019s lead, before Kelleher and Colm Clifford replied for the visitors.<\/p>\n

With 44 minutes gone, Nemo were in front by 0-16 to 0-12, before Shane Burke scored their goal to put them well in control.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Sullivan added a point, but again \u00c9ire \u00d3g hit back, with Sean Hurley setting up Kelleher for their goal, to make it 1-17 to 1-12.<\/p>\n

Hurley added a point and hit another from a free to close the gap.<\/p>\n

Nemo responded through Stephen Cronin and Eoin Nation to seal the win to move out of the bottom two of the table.<\/p>\n
