A royal biographer has claimed that Princess Eugenie’s husband was taken aback by a request made by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor regarding their nuptials. Princess Eugenie, 36,<\/a> tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank, 39, on October 12, 2018.<\/p>\n Royal <\/a>author Hugo Vickers, in his book Queen Elizabeth II A Personal History, alleges that Andrew “persuaded” a company to film the ceremony after it became clear that none of the major broadcasters would provide coverage, but Mr Brooksbank was “alarmed” when Andrew “insisted” on a procession through Windsor.<\/p>\n He wrote: “On 12 October 2018 Princess Eugenie<\/a> married Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel. This was a happier wedding.<\/p>\n “It did not attract as much publicity, and the Duke of York was annoyed that it would not be filmed for the major networks, though he persuaded a company to record it.<\/p>\n “The groom was alarmed that Prince Andrew insisted on a procession through Windsor, afraid that no one would be there to cheer them. But Windsor loves a procession and there was a good crowd”, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n The allegation about Princess Eugenie’s wedding emerges as questions continue to swirl about the future roles she and her sister Princess Beatrice will occupy within the Royal Family.<\/p>\n This speculation has intensified following the controversy surrounding Andrew’s association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. As she celebrated her 36th birthday earlier this year, one royal correspondent expressed hope that both Beatrice and Eugenie might secure meaningful positions within the Royal Family.<\/p>\n Matt Wilkinson suggested that King Charles was keen to involve the sisters, particularly after they endured a challenging period of “crisis”.<\/p>\n He said: “I’ve got sympathy for both Beatrice and Eugenie, and I’d like to see them somehow rehabilitated and used properly in the Royal Family.<\/p>\n “I think the King wants her, wants them both, to not pay for the sins of their parents, but I’m not sure there is mass public sympathy for them at the moment. They’re probably going through a complete and utter personal crisis.”<\/p>\n Mr Wilkinson noted that, thankfully, both sisters had robust support systems in place, including their husbands who would stand by them during this challenging period.<\/p>\n He continued: “I don’t like bad things to happen to people when they haven’t actually done anything wrong themselves, but I think they can cope.<\/p>\n “I think there are enough support structures around them and enough money.
