Other major markets are Mexico ($49.6 million), the UK ($38 million), and Germany ($30 million).<\/p>\n Globally, Galaxy has surpassed Pegasus 3, the previous top film of 2026 that debuted in China earlier this year. According to Gamespot<\/a>, 99.8% of Pegasus 3’s revenue came from the Chinese market. The Ryan Gosling-led Project Hail Mary ranks third, earning $575 million.<\/p>\n Overall, the Super Mario animated film franchise has surpassed $2 billion at the global box office<\/a>, making it the 10th highest-grossing feature film series of all time.<\/p>\n Galaxy opened in cinemas on April 1 and quickly became the year’s highest-grossing US debut<\/a>.<\/p>\n The film earned $34.5 million in the US on opening day, surpassing The Super Mario Bros. Movie’s $31.7 million.
