At No. 11, and in Good Company\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHi Gary,<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThat\u2019s hilarious, or should I say, \u201chigh\u201d-larious (and high, Gary!), that Joe Lynch posted the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/biggest-weed-high-songs-hot-100\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">4\/20 chart<\/a> \u2026 just after we all learned that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/ella-langley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Langley<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kron4.com\/news\/national\/is-a-dandelion-a-weed-or-a-flower-what-experts-say\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dandelion<\/a> is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/ella-langley-dandelion-number-one-billboard-200-chart-1236226543\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new No. 1 album<\/a>. And how fun that a seemingly clean-cut ensemble such as The 5th Dimension earned the distinction as having the biggest record on that list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMeanwhile, my mind is slowly accepting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/raye\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RAYE<\/a>\u2019s \u201cWhere Is My Husband!\u201d may not make the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/hot-100\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard Hot 100<\/a>\u2019s top 10. It has joined my personal list of No. 11-peaking tunes (so far, at least) that includes the following, well, 11:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEleanor Rigby\u201d by The Beatles (from 1966)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWoodstock,\u201d Crosby, Stills, Nash &amp; Young (covering Joni Mitchell; 1970)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes We Can Can,\u201d The Pointer Sisters (1973)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou Got the Love,\u201d Rufus feat. Chaka Khan (co-written by Ray Parker, Jr. and Khan; 1974)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRhiannon (Will You Ever Win),\u201d Fleetwood Mac (1976)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDisco Inferno,\u201d The Trammps (1978)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnother Part of Me,\u201d Michael Jackson (1988)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Promise,\u201d When in Rome (1988)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJustified &amp; Ancient,\u201d The KLF feat. Billboard has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/11-hot-100-no-11s-for-11\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">covered this topic<\/a>, in 2011, of course, with No. 11 similar to a No. 2 or No. 41 peak. Still, it\u2019s great to see the ambitious and wildly talented RAYE having her biggest hit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThanks,<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPablo Nelson<br \/>Oakland, Calif.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThanks Pablo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cHer red lipstick \u2026 you know, it never moves,\u201d RAYE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/video\/raye-reveals-taylor-swifts-advice-and-talks-her-success-from-where-is-my-husband\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told Billboard<\/a> recently at the iHeartRadio Music Awards about Taylor Swift, after the pair chatted backstage. \u201cThe problem is, whenever I sing, it goes all over my face,\u201d she rued. \u201cI was like, \u2018How do you do it?\u2019 She was giving me some tips.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRAYE is on par with Swift, however, when it comes to having peaked (again, to date) at No. 11 on the Hot 100. Swift has five such songs, all key in her catalog: \u201cYou\u2019re Not Sorry,\u201d from 2008; \u201cMean\u201d (2010); \u201cLove Story (Taylor\u2019s Version)\u201d (2021); \u201cFresh Out the Slammer\u201d (2024); and \u201cRuin the Friendship\u201d (2025).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhen you have so many hits, you\u2019re bound to come close to the top 10 and just miss sometimes (similar to in sports, where even such GOATs as Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Mia Hamm, Bobby Orr, Bill Russell, Babe Ruth and Serena Williams have lost in championship rounds). Swift has the most No. 11 hits, followed by Elvis Presley with four (since the Hot 100 began in August 1958): \u201cOne Broken Heart for Sale,\u201d \u201c(Such an) Easy Question,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m Yours\u201d and \u201cYou Don\u2019t Have To Say You Love Me\u201d\/\u201cPatch It Up.\u201d Plus, The Beatles are among the acts with at least two: \u201cEleanor Rigby,\u201d as noted above, and, nearly 30 years later, \u201cReal Love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMore than 350 titles have peaked at No. 11 on the Hot 100 (just beyond the 5,200-plus hits that have entered the top 10). Which are the biggest? It became the singer-songwriter\u2019s second of two entries on the chart, after she galloped to the top 10 (No. 8) with \u201cWhere Have All the Cowboys Gone?\u201d in 1997. \u201cI Don\u2019t Want To Wait\u201d also ruled Adult Pop Airplay for six weeks and rose to the top five on Adult Alternative Airplay, Adult Contemporary, Pop Airplay and the all-format Radio Songs chart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMost famously, \u201cI Don\u2019t Want To Wait\u201d served as theme to TV classic Dawson\u2019s Creek, further \u2014 and still \u2014 heightening its appeal; it drew 210,000 official U.S. streams and 1.8 million in radio audience April 10-16, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe music scene was wonderful. There was hope in the air,\u201d in the \u201890s, Cole <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/media\/podcasts\/soul-sisters-podcast-paula-cole-interview-lilith-fair-covers-album-7882021\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recalled<\/a> to Billboard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIt was a vehicle to bring it to another audience,\u201d she said of her hit\u2019s weekly on-screen placement. She added, \u201cThe song, where it came from, wasn\u2019t for Dawson\u2019s Creek. I wrote it about my grandparents, and it was a hit on its own well before it was the theme song.\u201d (Something people may not know? \u201cI don\u2019t watch it \u2026,\u201d she admitted of the show with a laugh.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s so celebratory,\u201d Cole said of revisiting her hits. \u201cLike, let\u2019s go into this party that is this song and let\u2019s jam this together.
