{"id":414892,"date":"2026-04-24T08:35:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/414892\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T08:35:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:35:07","slug":"man-woman-arrested-after-two-gardai-assaulted-in-donegal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/414892\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, woman arrested after two garda\u00ed assaulted in Donegal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man and woman in their 30s were arrested after two garda\u00ed were assaulted in Co Donegal.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed received a call to attend a premises on Neil T Blaney Road, in Letterkenny at 3pm yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The two male garda\u00ed who attended the scene were assaulted by the man in his 30s, who was subsequently arrested, along with a female in her 30s.<\/p>\n<p>Both garda\u00ed received treatment in hospital for injuries sustained during the incident.<\/p>\n<p>They have since been discharged. Peer support is being provided to the injured garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>The man remains in custody at this time.<\/p>\n<p>The woman has since been released and charged in connection with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>She is due to appear before Letterkenny District Court on Monday, 11 May.<\/p>\n<p>Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man and woman in their 30s were arrested after two garda\u00ed were assaulted in Co Donegal.
