Diana Russini deleted her X account (formerly known as Twitter) as drama surrounding photos of herself with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel<\/a> escalated. <\/p>\n

The former Athletic reporter\u2019s content was no longer visible on the platform as of Thursday evening, Page Six can confirm. <\/p>\n

The sports journalist previously posted her resignation letter to the platform<\/a> after Page Six published photos of her spending time with Vrabel in March<\/a> at a luxury resort in Arizona.<\/p>\n

Russini and Vrabel were also seen in photos from March 2020<\/a>, chatting at a New York City bar and even apparently kissing each other, in photos published by Page Six on Thursday. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey were kissing and they were all over each other,\u201d an eyewitness told Page Six. \u201cHe had a ring on.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sports journalist initially claimed the more recent resort photos were taken out of context, and that she and Vrabel \u2014 with whom she was snapped holding hands \u2014 were joined by several other pals at the luxury Sedona getaway.<\/p>\n

Multiple sources told Page Six, however, that wasn\u2019t the case.<\/p>\n

The photos showed Vrabel and Russini apparently engaged in an intimate chat. \u00a9 Page Six<\/p>\n

\u201cLike most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues,\u201d she told us. <\/p>\n

Vrabel, meanwhile, told Page Six earlier this month that the Arizona photos \u201cshow a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn\u2019t deserve any further response.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Thursday, following the publication of the 2020 snapshots, Vrabel \u2014 who recently divulged he\u2019s seeking counseling<\/a> \u2014 spoke to reporters at a press conference held during the NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

Vrabel told Page Six the interaction was \u201cinnocent,\u201d and Russini claimed they were joined by a group of pals for the outing. \u00a9 Page SIx<\/p>\n

Vrabel told reporters during a press conference on Thursday (above) that he\u2019s prioritizing his family and career. YouTube\/@patriots<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a private and personal matter. I don\u2019t think that those comments \u2026 I think that was, you know, I\u2019m always gonna attempt to protect your family,\u201d he said in part during the presser. <\/p>\n

\u201cI would never be dismissive, but I think my family and this football team are the most important thing and that\u2019s what I plan to do, and I\u2019m excited about the challenge with both of those things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vrabel has been married to\u00a0his wife, Jen Vrabel<\/a>, since 1999, and the longtime couple share two sons. <\/p>\n
